Ginger can be used in so many different ways, from cooking, to iced drinks, teas, traditional medicine, home remedies, you name it! For us at Basilur its versatility always amazes us. Ginger has become a staple ingredient at Basilur and we incorporate it into many of our blends because we amazed by the plethora of health benefits it contains.
Since summer is just around the corner, it's always good to have a great iced tea recipe in hand. This ginger iced tea recipe we are sharing with you today is full of flavour, making it the perfect thirst quencher on a warm summer day.
You will need:
01 teaspoon of Basilur ginger loose leaf tea
01 cup of water
01 tablespoon of honey
02 - 03 lemon slices
Ice cubes
Directions:
Start by boiling the water in a small saucepan over medium-high heat.
Once it reaches a boiling stage lower the flame and add in the tea leaves, let this simmer for about 5-7 minutes.
Remove the saucepan from the heat and add in the lemon slices, stir well and let it sit for about 5 minutes, so that lemon will be fully infused in the tea.
Strain and pour in the freshly brewed tea to your glass.
Next add honey and mix well until everything is incorporated.
Add in a few ice cubes and serve cold.
