Shipping Policy

All orders are processed within 7 business days (excluding weekends and holidays) after receiving your order confirmation email. You will receive another notification when your order has shipped. Deliveries within Sri Lanka will take 2 to 3 days from dispatch, while overseas deliveries may take up to 7 days from dispatch.ย 

International Shipping

We offer international shipping globally. However, due to customs regulations and delivery partner limitations we are currently unable to ship to Brazil, Thailand Italy and Romania.ย 

Free shipping is available to countries for all orders over $75 with the exception to certain EU countries and India.ย  For orders below USD 150, we will cover the VAT and clearance charges by applying an additional handling fee of USD 30.00 to below countries. This ensures your shipment clears smoothly without any extra service charges from couriers, which would otherwise apply when the consignee is responsible for the tax. However, for orders exceeding USD 150, no handling fee will be applied, and all taxes and related clearance charges will be the responsibility of the consignee.

ย For the countries listed below, duties and taxes are covered under shipping and handling fee up to order value USD150, so you will not incur any additional charges for clearing the shipment for orders below USD 150. However, it is your responsibility to coordinate with the courier for customs clearance by providing the necessary documents. If you fail to provide the required documents, your shipment may be delayed, returned, or even destroyed. In case of the return, any refund issued will have return charges deducted, including the cost of two-way shipping. We are not liable for a refund if the shipment is destroyed by customs due to a failure in clearance.

For other countries, Your Local customs authority may or may not impose duty/taxes, inspection charges on your order, which are not covered by the price of the tea.

How do I check the status of my order?

When your order has shipped, you will receive an email notification from us which will include a tracking number you can use to check its status. Please allow 48 hours for the tracking information to become available.ย 

If you havenโ€™t received your order within 14 days of receiving your shipping confirmation email, please contact us at info@basilurtea.com with your name and order number, and we will look into it for you.
